Banten Ansor Swears in PC Cliegon: Our Enemy Today is Poverty

INDONEWSIAN.COM – Tb. Adam Ma’rifat, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Movement (PW GP) Ansor Banten, officially inaugurated the City Cilegon Branch (PC GP Ansor) and all Sub-Branches (PAC) in the City of Cilegon, at the City DPRD Building on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

This inauguration became an opportunity for the consolidation of the Ansor organization in Cilegon City to strengthen the role of youth, religious, and community social activities at the local level.

In his speech, Adam Ma’rifat emphasized the importance of preparedness of all PC and PAC officials in carrying out the organization’s trust. He reminded Ansor members not to easily give up when facing challenges and to continue innovating for the organization’s progress.

According to him, Ansor Cilegon is required to be creative, adaptable, and capable of generating new ideas that are relevant to the needs of the era and society.

Adam also highlighted the focus of PW GP Ansor Banten in promoting cadre independence, especially in the economic field. Various platforms have been prepared, such as Ansor Hub, BUMA, Ansor University, and Ansor Retail, as spaces for developing cadre potential.

She emphasized that the main challenge currently faced is no longer past ideological conflicts, but rather the issue of poverty that must be addressed collectively and in a structured manner.

“Today, we are no longer fighting with weapons, nor are we opposing the PKI or HTI. Our enemy today is poverty, and Ansor must appear as part of the solution,” Adam emphasized.

Besides economy, education has become a serious concern in the direction of Ansor’s future movement. Adam stated that education and economy are closely related and cannot be separated in efforts to build cadres’ self-reliance.

It specifically encourages the members of the Barisan Ansor Serbaguna (Banser) to have high aspirations in the field of education, considering the role of Banser as a versatile force that requires solid academic capabilities.

Adam expressed gratitude because now many Banser cadres in Banten have completed their education up to the bachelor’s, master’s, and even doctoral levels, and are optimistic that professors will emerge from the ranks of Banser in the future.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of PC GP Ansor Cilegon City, Moch. Muachir, expressed optimism in carrying out the trust of the newly inaugurated organizational leadership.

She hopes that Ansor Cilegon in the future can continue to provide tangible benefits for the community and be able to build organizational independence in a sustainable manner.

“With a spirit of togetherness, we are ready to face the challenges ahead. The year 2026 for Ansor Cilegon must be brighter, more independent, and not easily discouraged despite many obstacles,” he said.

The inauguration event was also attended by the Mayor of Cilegon, the Chairman of the City Legislative Council of Cilegon, elements of the Forkopimda, as well as representatives of youth organizations (OKP), indicating cross-element support for the strategic role of Ansor in Cilegon City. ***
