According to the statement, the decisions were taken in response to a series of unimpressive performances by the team in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

‘The changes became necessary to address the poor run of form and restore discipline and competitiveness within the team,’ the club said.

Gombe United are expected to continue its search for a substantive Technical Adviser, while the interim coaching crew takes charge of the team.

The changes in the technical department by the management of Gombe United are coming on the heels of similar development in another NNL club, Lobi Stars who suspended their Technical Adviser, Abubkar Bala Mohammed, over poor performances.

Both Gombe United and Lobi Stars have been underperforming in their respective conferences.

The ‘Savannah Scorpions’ will face Jigawa Golden Stars in their final fixture of the first round of the NNL season. ***
