Jokowi Closes the Door to Forgiveness in the Fake Diploma Case, Only 3 Names Considered Too “Extreme”

INDONEWSIAN.COM – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), has firmly stated that he will show no mercy to the three individuals who spread rumors about the authenticity of his diploma.

The three people, namely Roy Suryo, Rismon Sianipar, and Tifauzia Tyassuma.

Tiga orang tersebut dinilai Jokowi tidak layak mendapatkan pengampunan.

Bukan tanpa alasan, ketiganya dianggap sudah melampaui batas kewajaran sehingga perlu diberi sanksi sebagai efek jera.

“There are three names that seem too extreme. They never want to accept the fact that President Jokowi’s diploma is genuine, even though the police have conducted an investigation and proved it,” said Willem Frans Ansanay, Chairman of Barisan Relawan Jokowi Presiden-Jalan Perubahan (Bara JP), quoted from Wartakota, Sunday (12/21/2025).

“Tindakan mereka dijerat pasal berlapis, dan untuk mereka, Pak Jokowi akan teruskan proses hukumnya agar ada efek jera,” sambung Willem.

This was stated by Willem after meeting Jokowi at his private residence in Sumber, Solo, Central Java, on Friday (12/19/2025).

Willem mentioned that in the four-way discussion, Jokowi emphasized that he is not a typical vengeful leader and expressed his willingness to forgive most of the suspects involved in the fake diploma accusation case.

Of the 12 names involved in this case, Willem said, Jokowi is willing to grant clemency to those who were merely swept up in the tide.

“Pak Jokowi stated that he is not someone who does not forgive. Therefore, of the 12 names, not all will be pursued further. Most will be forgiven,” said Willem.

Although opening the door to forgiveness, Willem emphasized that Jokowi gave a clear demarcation line. Jokowi stated that the legal process will continue for the three main names considered to have acted too extreme and rejected legal facts.

Willem added, Bara JP fully supports Jokowi’s move. According to him, Jokowi’s original diploma has been validated and published by the police investigators.

The narrative continuously promoted by this group is considered an effort to deceive the public, which must be stopped through legal means.

In addition to discussing legal cases, the meeting also touched on the political map after Jokowi’s leadership.

Willem considers this issue of fake diploma attacks not just an administrative matter, but a systematic effort to degrade Jokowi’s and his family’s credibility, as well as a move to “get a head start” towards the 2029 presidential election.

“This is a series leading up to 2029. After we proposed Prabowo-Gibran for two terms, many parties opposed it, considering it too early. However, those who opposed it have already ‘left the nest’ and are maneuvering as if they want to run as presidential candidates,” said Willem.

Willem also called for this unproductive noise to end immediately.

She asked all parties to stop politicizing matters that are clearly true and start focusing on helping the government handle real issues, such as the floods that have hit several areas.

“We want this nation to be safe. Floods are everywhere, the situation needs to be handled properly. Stop making noise in the middle of our nation,” said Willem.

“Those who can be forgiven should be forgiven. But those who continue to destroy and reject the facts of the law, they can be processed. The nation is facing many problems, floods everywhere, so it’s time to stop creating chaos,” he said.

As known in this case, Polda Metro Jaya has determined eight suspects related to the alleged fake diploma of Jokowi.
