INDONEWSIAN.COM – The alleged conspiracy involving Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang and his father, HM Kunang, has been thwarted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The two were caught in a corruption raid (OTT) after being suspected of receiving bribes related to projects that had not yet been implemented.
In the case, the project share capital of a total value of Rp9.5 billion is stated to have been received. Regarding this suspicion, the suspect status has been imposed on Ade Kuswara Kunang and HM Kunang, along with detention for the purpose of investigation.
The explanation from the Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, stated that the mentioned projects are planned to start only next year. The received funds are referred to as a down payment to ensure the implementation of the projects in the future.
In the case construction, communication between Ade Kuswara Kunang and the private party with the initials SRJ is said to have started since the end of 2024, not long after his inauguration as Regent of Bekasi. SRJ is known as a contractor who often participates in projects within the Bekasi Regency Government environment.
Funds requests are said to have been made even though the intended project is not yet available, with implementation plans for 2026 and onwards. The request for money is said to have occurred repeatedly during that period.
The project’s ijon money acceptance has been reported to have been carried out four times. All funds are said to have been distributed through intermediaries, with a total accumulation reaching Rp9.5 billion.***
